Wright Partners is a Singapore- and Jakarta-based venture studio that builds, invests in, and scales new ventures across logistics, climate-tech, agriculture, and adjacent Southeast Asian sectors. Sprout operates as Wright Partners' product-engineering and AI-implementation partner, providing the team depth that takes portfolio ventures from idea to production. Two distinct businesses, one shared founder, and a working alliance that has shipped real ventures.
A venture-studio alliance: two brands, one working cadence
Wright Partners and Sprout are two independent businesses with one shared founder (Arnold Sebastian). Wright Partners is a venture studio — it sources theses, builds new companies, and invests capital into SEA ventures. Sprout is an AI + product-engineering studio — it designs, builds, and ships digital products. When Wright Partners builds or backs a venture that needs serious product and AI capability, Sprout is the delivery partner. When Sprout meets a founder who needs venture-builder support beyond engineering, Wright Partners is the natural introduction. Neither owns the other's customer. Both brands stand on their own.
The alliance diagram
Two peer-brand zones rendered side by side — Wright Partners (venture studio, founded 2020, Singapore + Jakarta) and Sprout (AI + product engineering studio, founded 2018, 120+ team) — connected by a shared-founder band above and a capability-exchange flow below showing what moves in each direction. Two businesses, one working cadence, no subordination in either direction. Coming soon.
How Wright Partners and Sprout work together
Four operating principles that keep the alliance fair, useful, and legibly separate.
Brands stand on their own
Wright Partners has its own thesis, team, pipeline, and investor relationships. Sprout has its own delivery practice, client portfolio, and pricing. Each entity pitches, wins, and delivers on its own merits. Press and public positioning never conflate them.
Capability exchange is explicit
When Wright Partners engages Sprout for a portfolio venture's product and AI work, the engagement is scoped and priced like any other Sprout engagement. When Sprout refers a founder to Wright Partners for venture-builder support, the referral is explicit and the relationship starts fresh. No hidden economics.
Shared founder, not shared decisions
Arno as shared founder provides strategic alignment between the two businesses — not operational control over either. Wright Partners' investment decisions are Wright Partners'. Sprout's delivery decisions are Sprout's. The shared seat is a signal of alignment, not a substitute for governance.
The alliance makes both better
Sprout gets exposure to Wright Partners' venture pipeline and thesis-building discipline. Wright Partners gets delivery capability that most venture studios can't match. The alliance is valuable because neither entity could easily replicate what the other does alone.
What the alliance delivers
Four areas where Wright Partners and Sprout work together on portfolio ventures.
Product Engineering for Wright Partners Portfolio
Sprout provides product, design, engineering, QA, and DevOps capacity to Wright Partners ventures that need real delivery — from early prototype through scale. Engagement terms set per venture.
AI Implementation for Portfolio Companies
Where a Wright Partners venture's thesis involves AI (vertical AI, agritech AI, healthtech AI), Sprout is the AI implementation partner. Pattern follows Sprout's /ai capability stack — document intelligence, conversational AI, RAG, agentic — applied to the venture's specific domain.
Technical Cofounder Support
For Wright Partners portfolio companies that need fractional or dedicated technical leadership without replacing their own CTO hiring timeline, Sprout's Technical Cofounder engagement is the natural path.
Cross-Portfolio Pattern Sharing
Lessons, templates, and reusable patterns developed across Wright Partners ventures compound into Sprout's practice — and vice versa. The alliance accelerates both firms' learning curves.
Where the alliance shows up in public
Public signals of Sprout's work with Wright Partners ventures.
Smallholder agronomy AI — Tech4Good silver
A Wright Partners portfolio venture (agritech serving Indonesian smallholder farmers) deploys Sprout-built vision and extraction AI for photo-based agronomy advice over WhatsApp in Bahasa and regional languages. The venture's platform was recognized with a silver award at the 2025 Salesforce Tech4Good Awards for Best Use of AI in Agriculture and Food Security.
40+ ventures, 2 unicorns, 5+ years of building
Wright Partners has built and supported 40+ ventures since its founding, with two reaching unicorn status. The track record reflects the kind of operator-led venture studio that has pattern-matched across cohorts — not a first-fund experiment.
The studio model is where the builders are going
Venture studios are now 1.9x more common than accelerators among new VC funds globally (2024). Within SEA, the studios that pair capital with real operational depth — product engineering, AI implementation, hiring, go-to-market — are winning disproportionate founder mindshare. The Sprout–Wright Partners alliance is a specific expression of that structural shift.
